Serving the local food needs of Michiana community since 2021!
Located near Niles, Michigan, we are an emerging small scale vegetable and herb farm with an emphasis on utilizing our output for serving the needs of those in the greater Michiana community.
Starting from scratch.
Rooted Acres rests on a 1 acre patch of land which, until fall of 2021, was almost entirely forest. The property, including a vacant 3 bedroom house, had been untouched for several years. The video at right gives a sense of how overgrown the area had become before it was cleared and is now the farm!
COMMUNITY GIVEBACK
We place great emphasis on giving back to the community through donations of our output to local organizations in need. Since 2022 we’ve donated over 2800 pounds of fresh produce to local organizations in need!
